Elegant & Sophisticated

Developer - Time&Place | Architects - Fraser & Partners | Builder - Hickory

A Time&Place development built by Hickory, The Queensbridge Building is a newly completed construction offering a modern perspective based on the FlatIron building in New York. The project delivers an upper luxury experience with a 1920’s ambience.

But for residents and guests of the building, their vehicles are treated to a different experience. One of determined commitment to the future of cars where each space can house an EV and the system affects automated charging while the owner retires for the day.

Supplied by CarCram, the Wöhr Parksafe 583 is the benchmark automated system for ultimate reliability and performance. Becoming a favourite to several developers, the system delivers on promises of reliability and uninterrupted service. While the system itself continues to park 24 cars per hour out of the building, its ability to manage EV charging adds an unbeatable advantage.

112 large-sized cars can be housed in the system. Each car rests on a solid steel platform and is then securely stored on massive steel racks reaching up more than 30m into The Queensbridge Building. Safe from mistreatment by minors, removed from the effects of the elements and cosseted from the curious, the car of the owner is positively protected within a concrete vault until called upon by the simple touch of a key to a screen by the owner.

Evidencing the forethought and early planning of strong initial design philosophy, the system also has 100% of all parking spaces available for disabled parking. The point of entry has been designed to meet the DDA intent, thereby opening up parking to all drivers.

The Queensbridge Building. Not just a modern look at the past – a thoughtfully considered view of the future…
